About Me
Dr. Aref Afsharfard is an associate professor in Mechanical Engineering Department. He joined Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in September 2014. He is the director of Vibration and Modal Analysis Laboratory (VMA), which has been around at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and concentrates on designing, analytical modelling and experimental testing.
Research Interests:
Dr. Afsharfard’s fields of interest are focused on:
- Mechanical Vibration and Noise Control
- Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA)
- Vibration-based Energy Harvesting
- Biomechanical Engineering
Students interested in vibration theory are encouraged to contact me. To join our research team, candidates are preferred to have considerable experience in MATLAB programming and have a strong desire to learn about the mechanical vibrations.
