# Title Description
To study the foundations of computational intelligence, such as fuzzy logic, neural networks, and genetic algorithms, and their synergistic combinations in the framework of intelligent characteristics such as generalization, learning, optimization, and swarm intelligence.
Required course for students of electrical (bioelectric) engineering, and elective for others.
Interest and hard work
To use computational intelligence in their current and future projects.
After the instructor's introductory lectures, we will have four student seminars on generalization, learning/adaptation/optimization, swarm intelligence, and hybrid systems.
Join the class discussions, perform miniprojects, do the quizzes and the final project, and participate in the class seminars.
[1] Neuro-Fuzzy and Soft Computing*, by Jang, Sun and Mizutani, Matlab Curriculum Series, Prentice Hall, 1997. This book, along with several other necessary resources, are uploaded via the university's VU2 system. The rest of the material are available via 4 DVD.
