About Me

Mohammad Allahbakhsh is an associate professor at the Computer Engineering Department, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran. He also holds an honorary research fellow position at the Computing Department, Macquarie University, Sydney Australia. Mohammad Also has been a visiting researcher at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, UNSW, Australia (2013-2019). He is a member of FUM WTLab.    

Mohammad Allahbakhsh has obtained his B.Sc and M.Sc in computer engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, in 2000, and 2003, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2013, The title of his thesis was “Robust Ranking and Unfairness Detection in Social Rating Systems”.

His main research interest is investigating and conducting research on human-enabled systems, including but not limited to Crowdsourcing systems, Rating, Ranking, Online Review Systems, Participatory Sensing, and so on. Mohammad is also interested in intelligence amplification, in which machines and humans boost each other’s cognitive capabilities to build a so-called “SuperMind”. Last but not the least, Decentralized blockchain-based systems are his favorite topic of research in which, he, along with a team of researchers, studies concepts of quality, trust, and privacy on blockchain-based infrastructures.
