About Me

I am Dr. Azam Amini, a faculty member at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. My academic expertise lies in Public International Law, with a particular focus on International Water Law, Climate Change Law, and the evolving role of equity in international legal systems. My PhD dissertation, entitled “The Function of Equity in the International Legal System: Its Impact on the Stability or Instability of Legal Rules,” reflects my enduring interest in the interaction between foundational legal principles and contemporary global challenges.

In recent years, my research and teaching have centered on the legal dimensions of the Paris Agreement, carbon market mechanisms, climate justice, and transboundary water governance. I have also contributed to the design and development of a Water Law program at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

My goal is to bridge the gap between theoretical legal research and its practical implications for national and international policy, with a strong commitment to promoting climate justice and effective governance of water resources.
