I am a Professor of Statistics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and an Extraordinary Professor at University of Pretoria. I am the co-author of three books with Wiley, co-editor of one book with Springer, and an elected member of International Statistical Institute and has serves on several national and international, educational, and academic research boards. I have been keynote and invited speakers in various international conferences. My major includes shrinkage estimation, variable selection, high-dimensional statistics, statistical machine learning, graphical models, and longitudinal data analysis.
For the last three years, I've been in charge of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad's Data Science Laboratory. Establishing bridges between academia, industry, and business with the goal of globalising statistical data analysis expertise is the mandate. My expertise in predictive modelling has allowed me to manage data availability, usability, validity, and integrity, and to shift the industry's focus to data governance as a vital resource. Metadata repositories, standardisation, and the establishment of KPIs and assessment metrics for data governance efficacy are all areas in which I have worked.
