Dr. Abbas Rohani earned his PhD in Agricultural Mechanization with a specialization in Systems Analysis. He was born in 1980 in Ghooch-Qaleh village Bojnord County Iran. His main research areas include statistics data analysis modeling and optimization machine learning and maintenance and reliability engineering. He has been selected four times as an outstanding faculty member in education and research. In 2021 he received the University Award for Distinguished Researcher in Natural Sciences. He was recognized as the Outstanding Researcher at the provincial level in 2024 and at the national level in 2025. He was also listed among the worlds top 2 percent most cited scientists in 2024 and 2025. Dr. Rohani has served as Head of the Department of Biosystems Engineering for more than four and a half years and as Vice Dean for Research and Technology for one year. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Agricultural Machinery and has published nearly 320 scientific articles.
