About Me
I am Omid SolaymaniFard, Associate Professor of Mathematics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. I obtained my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Ferdowsi University in 2004 (1383 in the Iranian calendar).
My research expertise lies in Optimization, Optimal Control, Machine learning, and Uncertainty Systems. I have published work across these domains, contributing to both theoretical advances and algorithmic developments. For instance, my publications include studies in optimization, heuristic algorithms, reinforcement learning and fuzzy systems.
In my teaching capacity, I deliver courses spanning optimization theory, fuzzy systems, stochastic processes and stochastic differential equations, machine learning methods, and optimal control theory. I also supervise graduate students on projects at the interface of these fields, guiding them in formulating rigorous mathematical models, analyzing solution methods, and implementing computational experiments.
My academic mission is to integrate deep theoretical insight with practical applications, fostering research that bridges uncertainty, learning, and control, and to mentor a new generation of mathematicians equipped to address interdisciplinary challenges.
