Education
The University of Manchester 1995-1999 ( Ph.D.)
I was awarded a Ph.D. degree in January 1999 from the Faculty of Arts, department of Art History and Archaeology, the University of Manchester in the ancient history of Iran (1995-1999). The title of my thesis was: “ The Land of Parsa: The first Persian Homeland”. My focus was upon the geographical history and pre-Achaemenid civilisation of Parsa, the immigration of Persian into Parsa and the history of Parsa during Achaemenid period.
I was awarded a full scholarship by Ministry of Culture and Higher Education of Iran to continue my study in ancient history of Iran at the University of Manchester following a competitive examination which the most qualified students were sending aboard to complete their studies.
The University of Tehran, 1986-1989 ( MA)
I was awarded MA degree in ancient history of Iran, Zoroastranism at Sasanid period from the department of History, the University of Tehran. The title of my thesis was: “ The relationship between state and religion during Sasanid period”.
Since I graduated as one of the outstanding students in my year and I passed a competitive examination to peruse a Master degree, I received a full grant from Ministry of Culture and Higher Education during my studies as MA student at the University of Tehran.
The Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, 1982-1986 (BA)
I received my first degree (BA) in history of Iran from the department of History at the Ferdowsi university of Mashhad in 1986. In addition of history of Iran I studied a number of sociology courses in this University.
2- Experience
After receiving a MA degree in 1989 from the University of Tehran, I was employed as a Lecture in ancient history of Iran by the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. I was teaching in this position for four years before I come to UK and continue my studies as PhD students at the University of Manchester in 1995. During this time I frequently took my students to visit Archaeological and historical sites inside Iran as part of their field work.
I myself have separately visited and examined many of archaeological and historical sites in south-western Iran, in particular Parsa (modern Fars) as part of my Ph.D. project.
I am familiar and have worked with computer (word, photoshop) and internet for few years.
I am currently as Assistant Professor lecturing at the Ferdowsi University of Mshhad in Iran.
