I am now working as a full Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), Iran. I got my Bsc in Civil Engineering from FUM in 2001. I obtained my Msc in 2003 and then received Ph.D degree in Civil-Geotechnical Engineering in 2008 from University of Tehran. I also spent a six-month sabbatical at Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussees (LCPC) at Paris working on the stability of deep tunnel face. I started my academic career as a faculty member in 2009. I have several publications in highly-ranked journals in different fields of geotechnical engineering such as ring footings, analysis of reinforced soils as a two-phase system (macroscopic view), blast in soils, pipelines crossing faults, and soil constitutive modeling. I am also expert in simulation of granular materials behavior using Discrete Element Method (DEM) by focusing on particle shape, fabric anisotropy, grain crushing, unsaturated soils, cemented soils, critical state soil mechani
