About Dr. Hosein Mohammadi
Dr. Hosein Mohammadi is a Full Professor of International Economics in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, where he has served as a faculty member since 2009. With a steadfast commitment to education and research, he has played a pivotal role in advancing the field of agricultural economics and related disciplines.
Academic Background
Dr. Mohammadi earned his B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He pursued his graduate studies at the University of Tehran, obtaining an M.Sc. in Energy Economics and Marketing. In 2009, he completed his Ph.D. in Economic Sciences, specializing in International Trade, at Allameh Tabataba'i University in Tehran. Notably, Dr. Mohammadi secured the top rank in Iran’s nationwide Ph.D. entrance exam for Economic Sciences in 2004 and was recognized as a distinguished graduate during both his Master’s and Ph.D. programs.
Teaching and Research Contributions
At Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Dr. Mohammadi teaches a diverse array of courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, reflecting his expertise and passion for topics such as Econometrics, International Trade, Energy Economics, Financial Management, Macroeconomics, and Agricultural Marketing and Businesses. He has published numerous research papers in these areas in reputable national and international journals. Additionally, Dr. Mohammadi has supervised over 50 Master’s and Ph.D. students and led several national and regional research projects, significantly contributing to securing research grants for the university.

Dr. Mohammadi’s current research interests encompass International Economics, Energy Economics, Econometrics, Macroeconomics, Agricultural Businesses, Financial Management, and Environmental Economics. Beyond his extensive journal publications, he has authored three books on Econometrics, addressing topics such as time series analysis, cross-sectional data, and panel data, making substantial contributions to the field within the Department of Agricultural Economics at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
